Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown

Project Specifications:

The vision of chef Guy Fieri came to life in Pigeon Forge, TN in a restaurant called Downtown Flavortown. The restaurant serves up Fieri’s award winning dishes with attractions for all ages including a bowling alley, arcade, and tiki bar for before or after dinner entertainment.

The interior design is loud and fun, matching Fieri’s larger than life personality. For the exterior, the design team chose a combination of materials including thin brick, manufactured stone and EIFS and of course, a mural of Fieri.

To accommodate the multiple materials, the insulated masonry veneer system was chosen to seamlessly incorporate these claddings while continuously insulating the building and allowing for the desired design flexibility. Using the adhesively attached system allows for optimum energy efficiency, reduces complex transitions between materials, and thermal bridging that could happen with traditional mechanically applied brick.
