Project Specifications:

Originally hard coat stucco was installed on approximately 60% of the exterior of the building. Although it was properly installed and functioning per specifications, the aesthetic appearance was poor. The choices to remedy the problem were to remove and reinstall new hard coat stucco or install EIFS over the existing stucco. Since the hard coat stucco was weather tight, we opted to go with the EIFS-over-stucco solution. By doing that the contractor was able to “clean-up” the exterior surfaces of the building, vary the EIFS thickness on selected building sections to create a sense of depth, and added the benefit of additional insulation for the building.
