Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts
Greensboro, NC | Institutional
Project Specifications:
This state-of-the-art performing arts center is a 93-million-dollar facility and is home to the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. It also hosts touring Broadway productions and popular recording artists. The combination of Limestone and glass, along with EIFS, was the logical choice for the design team to provide increased energy efficiency and design flexibility. The consistency of lines and the consistency of mass are attractive architecturally, and the use of EIFS on the back and sides of the project allowed the stone front of the building to be an affordable reality.
