The hamburgers may be tiny, but the new restaurant is huge. When White Castle decided to venture into the Sunshine State, they did so in a big way. White Castle has been satisfying the intense burger cravings of Midwesterners since 1921 with 377 locations almost exclusively found in cold-weather states. They’re built to withstand ice, snow and freezing temperatures. But hurricanes? Translating this cold-weather classic to tropical storm-prone Florida required a true team effort, which included design, distribution and application expertise. To deal with the weather and the state’s stringent Notice of Acceptance requirements, the team turned to EIFS' ability to integrate continuous insulation, innovative water-resistant barrier technology and drainage features - an ideal solution for dealing with the Sunshine State’s frequent, punishing tropical storms and hurricanes. And EIFS' innovative finishes made it possible to match the stone and stucco design aesthetic of White Castle restaurants while maintaining continuous insulation.
