Wilson Medical Center
A Duke LifePoint Hospital
Wilson, NC | Healthcare
Project Specifications:
Wilson Medical Center, established in the 1960s, needed some extensive upgrades. Duke LifePoint Healthcare brought the facility into their growing family of healthcare organizations and invested some $120 million in upgrades including the restoration of the building façade. The extensive, multi-phase effort - running from 2016-2022 - included a substantial renovation and modernization inside and out to provide a superior experience to patients and stakeholders.
The main challenge of this project, like many restoration projects, was the hospital would remain open. Extra precautions included keeping less material on site to avoid job site congestion, adjusting working hours, and noise mitigation were taken to ensure that disturbance to the hospital would be minimal while the preparation and restoration were completed.
The complete restoration to Wilson Medical Center’s exterior façade demonstrates the ability of EIFS to rehabilitate the dingy and dated for a new chapter of growth. Wilson now reflects the high quality, contemporary level of care offered within.
