Project Specifications:

The Winter Garden Tower had some unique design elements that made EIFS the ideal solution. Due to the configuration of the upper fascia and the cost of using traditional metal panels in this location, EIFS offered a cost-effective alternative that was able to mimic the look of the metal panels used in other areas of the building. To prove this concept, the design-build team constructed a mock-up which showed that the two were almost indiscernible. The aesthetic match, plus the cost-effectiveness was a winner. EIFS was incorporated throughout the entire façade to meet the energy codes and exceeded the necessary projectile tests in this hurricane-prone region. As a medical facility in an area susceptible to natural disasters, the standards were high for building performance. The use of EIFS easily surpassed them.
