The Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center
San Francisco, CA | Residential
Project Specifications:
The Jewish Home and Rehab Center Project is an Senior Care Residence located in the Outer Mission District of San Francisco. The buildings' exterior claddings were originally a strapped stucco design that were redesigned to an EIFS Panel System employing design flexibility and a much lighter and efficient cladding system. There are 80,000 sf of EIFS, 5,000 sf EIFS metallic panels and 9,000 sf of EIFS wood panels, that together create a striking exterior finish combination. The 2" foam EPS lamina and 3" panels provide an R-8 and R-12 insulation value respectively adding to the building's energy efficiency and low carbon footprint. This was a top priority of the ownership group and design team, and together were able to provide a sustainable durable, NFPA 285 code compliant, cost effective and time efficient installation.
Overall the fine finish aesthetics, superior insulation values, durable coatings and lightweight components make this project one of the best senior residential facilities west of the Rockies. The Jewish Home Project is now one of San Francisco's Gems and will be an important part of the San Francisco landscape for may decades to come.
