Launching a Federal Advocacy Program to Advance EIFS Nationwide

EIMA is launching a federal advocacy program to introduce policymakers to Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) and elevate awareness of their critical role in advancing national priorities, including energy efficiency, housing affordability, and resilient construction. This initiative also highlights the extensive U.S. footprint of EIFS manufacturing facilities, along with the thousands of constituents nationwide involved in manufacturing, distribution, and installation.
As a high-performance, code-compliant exterior cladding system featured on landmark projects across the country, EIFS represent a modern, cost-effective, and American-made solution. Through this effort, EIMA aims to ensure policymakers fully understand the system’s economic, environmental, and workforce impact—and the importance of supporting policies that reflect its value and broad national presence. EIMA began engaging directly with federal leaders in July 2025, when the association distributed informational packets to policymakers in key states to introduce EIFS and build early awareness. Building on that outreach, EIMA hosted its first-ever EIFS Industry Hill Day during its Annual Meeting in March 2026 in Washington, DC, providing an opportunity to demonstrate how EIFS can help address some of the most pressing challenges in the built environment. |
