For More Information: EIMA Announces Publication of EIFS Durability GuideFalls Church, Va., June 18, 2019 — The EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA) is proud to announce the release of Impact Resistant EIFS: Tough and Tested, a complimentary guide that now available for free to all within the entire design and construction industry. EIFS is the acronym for exterior insulation and finish systems, a unique and highly environmentally sustainable building system, and its use is codified in both the International Building Code and the International Residential Code. “An EIFS industry sponsored guide to demonstrate how durability can be achieved with EIFS was needed greatly by the design profession. I commend the EIMA Technical and Research Steering Committee for making this publication a priority,” said EIMA President Peter Daechsel, who is a Manager of BASF Wall Systems. Emphasizing that EIFS are sustainable, durable, and resistant, the publication provides detailed information and guidance to designers and specifiers on how to achieve impact resistant performance using exterior insulation and finish systems.
